2023: A Historic Moment, On Pakistan Day

🇵🇰🇦🇺 2023: A Historic Moment 🇦🇺🇵🇰
On Pakistan Day, 23rd March 2023, we created history in Brisbane, Queensland as several landmarks, bridges, and city areas lit up in beautiful Pakistani flag green and white colours for the 2nd time after 2021. This was a precious gift to our dearest Pakistani Australian community in beginning of Ramadan.
Brisbane City Council has acknowledged on their website: ‘𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐮𝐩 𝐚𝐢𝐦𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐮𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐢 𝐀𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲’𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐛𝐞𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢-𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝.’
The Pakistan flag light up has been organised by Pakistan Australian Cultural Association (PACA) with full support from Brisbane City Council (BCC) & Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner
Notably, Australia’s longest cantilever bridge; Story Bridge, Victoria Bridge, City Hall, King George Square, Reddacliff Place, Sandgate Town Hall (North side), and much more were glowing in green and white colours, bringing smiles and genuine pride to all Pakistani Australians and friends of Pakistan in the community. It was an unforgettable moment, and we couldn’t be prouder of our Pakistani heritage and our beautiful multicultural Australia. Together, we all can achieve so much more.
We express our gratitude to the Brisbane City Council, staff members, IR team, Lord Mayor office and friends of Pakistan MPs from other political parties on behalf of PACA and the proactive Pakistani community in Queensland. Your support and recognition of our community have been heartwarming, and we continue to serve and support all other Australian communities.
There was no PACA event on the day as Unleashing the Colors of Pakistan: 1st Pakistan Day Mela in Brisbane CBD in Brisbane CBD completed on 11th March, 2023 (Co-Partners: Umar Flynn Chartered Accountants https://www.flynnca.com.au/ & Bennets Road Family Medical Practice https://bennettsroadfamilypractice.com.au/ .
