Dear Respected Members, Families, and Potential Members, In alignment with Clauses 16, 17, 18 of PACA’s constitution, I am calling an Annual General Meeting of our paid members at 1:45 pm on Sunday, 10th December, 2023 in person at Islamic Women Association of Australia Conference Hall (11 Watland St, Springwood QLD 4127) & via Zoom (as per Association Incorporation and Other Legislation Amendment Act 2020). The online Zoom link will be shared with paid members 48 hours before the AGM. As per Clause 16 b of PACA’s constitution, we will have the following items on our agenda: • Progress in the last year • Financial Reporting • Future Plans: Impact that goes beyond tenures
PACA’s Annual Report and Financial Performance 2023: PACA’s latest annual report will be shared in AGM and will be distributed afterwards. (Previous report is available here for Download) PACA Family & Membership: Pakistan Australian Cultural Association is nothing without its members, and definitely look forward to your support and membership to continue to work and serve the community. The membership cutoff date is 6th December 2023 for attending AGM. We are close to launching an exciting 7+ months long project that will benefit each individual community member and will request you to provide all family members details in above membership link. PACA Constitution Feedback & Suggestions: PACA constitution is available on our website (download link). We are looking forward to modernize the PACA constitution and cover all aspects of the community work that current PACA team and community is doing using latest technologies. A few suggestions are as following: 2. On suggestion at last AGM by members, PACA team had given non paid general community membership to each and every community members attending PACA events (via by law) and will be proposing it to be part of the constitution for good. 3.PACA is registered with Office of Fair Trading (OFT) and these by-laws needs to be aligned with OFT. Elections to be held with Office Of Fair Trading Representatives or recommended approved third parties. Note: Despite our positive volunteers efforts to elevate community, we faced recent hurtful misinformation spread on social media. As a fact, our team has given membership to each and every person and have not rejected a single membership and have not stopped or disqualified any single person to contest election. We truly welcome each and every community member to be not just our member but run for election to take the responsibility and serve the community in true spirit!
